Here, you can find some drum practice guides that I use for my own students.
As a drummer dedicated to constantly developing my historic technique, I have developed some exercises to incorporate historic approaches.
For the past fifteen years, I have developed my own methodologies and tips for developing good, historic style and technique.
They are based on a mixture of research, modern practice methods, and trial-and-error.
You’re welcome to use them to help you in your journey of learning historic drumming.
Currently, I have the following drum practice guides:
- Authentic Right-Hand Grip Practice Guide
- The Flam: Sticking Control Practice Guide
- Double Stroke Roll – Beginner Practice Guide
- The Ra Simple / 4-Stroke Roll / Swiss Ruff Practice Guide
- The 5-Stroke Roll Practice Guide
- The 7-Stroke Roll Practice Guide
- The 9-Stroke Roll Practice Guide
- The Double Stroke Roll – Advanced Practice Guide
- The Three Camps Practice Guide
- The Double Drag Practice Guide
I will be adding more guides as I have time to write things up and prepare the guide.
You are always more than welcomed to contact me and ask questions about my philosophies, practice methods, or practice guides.
Currently, I do not offer remote lessons. If you get in touch with me first, I will be happy to watch a video of you playing to answer a question or offer advice.
